The International Fair of Malta is one of the most popular events on the entire Maltese island. Each year, nearly 175,000 visitors attend the fair. This is a great event for local citizens and tourists. The display of Maltese businesses is supreme with nearly 400 exhibitors. The total exhibition area is around 60,000 square meters. The fair also serves as a blend of cultures from North Africa and Southern Europe. The Naxxar fairgrounds also held for the first time in 2008 the official counting of the votes for the island’s Parliament.
